Hayk Grigoryan: The Makings of an Ideal Lawyer

Under various complicated, complex, and confusing circumstances, many individuals and companies, tend to seek the assistance of reliable and well-prepared legal professionals. As such, great attorney holds the potential to have a significant impact on their client’s lives.

Lawyers can make a huge difference when they support you through tricky legal-related matters because they help you during a complex family law issue, protect you against false charges, and even secure fair financial compensation after any accidents. Naturally, they have become the ideal people you can turn to at troubled times.

But one has to consider what makes a good lawyer. It is not the easiest career; only some are cut out for it. In fact, according to the American Bar Foundation (ABF), it was found that around a quarter of lawyers tend to leave their profession within the first seven years.

Fortunately, a couple of exceptional lawyers already exist who can serve as an ideal example for you. Consider Hayk Grigoryan, a highly acclaimed Armenian attorney, politician, and entrepreneur. Many of you might even know him as the Founding Member, Board Member, and head of media of the National Progress Party of Armenia.

During the early 2000s, Grigoryan worked in the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia, and also took on the position of the Chief Legal Advisor of the ACRA Credit Bureau.

For years, he was engaged in many private legal practices in Armenia and the USA, and along with that, he also became the founder of Grigoryan Law Firm located in Los Angeles. It is a law firm that provides Foreclosure Litigation, Family Law, Bankruptcy, and General Civilian Litigation services. Recently, Grigoryan was even nominated for the Yerevan City Mayor position by the National Progress Party, which decided to participate in municipal elections for the Yerevan City Hall in 2023.

As a professional who has been a part of the industry for many years, Grigoryan has shared some ways to help you follow in his footsteps and attain a successful career.

Communication Skills

Lawyers must be orally articulate. They also need to be good listeners and have good written communication skills.

You need to have good speaking skills to argue in front of judges and juries. You must also be able to write clearly, concisely, and persuasively as they can produce diversity in legal documents. You can develop your communication skills by participating in general public speaking or mooting activities.

Judgment

Lawyers must draw logical and reasonable conclusions from the limited information they have to become the best.

It is also their duty to consider these judgments critically so that any potential areas of weakness or vulnerabilities can be anticipated in your argument. Keep in mind that decisiveness is also a part of judgment. There will be a lot of essential judgment calls to make, and very little time will be given for sitting on the fence.
